Updates to CIP Operating Grant
The Government of Alberta announced an update to the Community Initiatives Program (CIP) Operating grant:
The CIP Operating grant is being replaced by the new Community Initiatives Program (CIP) - Organizational Development and Collaboration (ODC) grant*. There are two categories:
Individual organizations grant: provides funding up to $50,000 to single nonprofit organizations for organizational development activities.
Collaboratives grant: provides funding up to $100,000 for collaboratives to address a community, regional or nonprofit voluntary sector issue.
This grant expands access to more nonprofits and is meant to support organizational capacity to build a stronger, more sustainable sector. Applications for the first round of the CIP-ODC grant will be accepted until June 15, 2026.
