I've learned a lot in my first year with the Nonprofit Chamber. Perhaps the most important insight: a strong nonprofit sector is not built by a handful of leaders talking to one another at a conference or at an exclusive table. It is built when everyone on a team, from front-line staff to board members, and leaders across organizations and subsectors, has access to the people, knowledge, and resources they need, and a real opportunity to contribute. Nonprofit Chamber Membership is a community-based model designed to give Alberta's nonprofit organizations and professionals access to tools, peer networks, advocacy support, and operational resources — all in one place.

In addition to better connections to each other, Members save money through exclusive discounts on programs and services. For example: discounted Reach Hire job postings, discounted access to the Boland Survey report (Alberta’s Nonprofit Salary Report), event discounts, bi-weekly sector news.

Circle is our online member community—a hub where members connect, troubleshoot, and share resources year-round. Each member and/or invited user receives an individual login to access peer networks, sector-specific communities, and real-time support.
Tiers, Pricing & Billing

Membership is open across the sector.
Organizational Membership: Purchased by a nonprofit or charity on behalf of their team. Includes membership discounts for the Boland Survey report and Reach Hire.
Individual Membership: For nonprofit professionals whose organization doesn't currently hold a group plan, as well as students and individuals new to the sector. This is often a great account option for someone between organizations, but who wants to stay connected to the larger community.
Corporate & Consultant Tiers: For private firms, social enterprises, and funders looking to engage with the sector. Includes membership discounts for Boland Survey report and Reach Hire.

Organizational Packs: Start at $80/year for teams of 2–5 (Ensemble tier) up to $1,525 flat for unlimited accounts (Orchestra tier).
Individual Membership: $50/year for nonprofit employees and students.
Corporate & Consultant Tiers: Start at $250/year.

Memberships run for a full 365 days from the exact date you sign up. To ensure you never face unexpected charges, we do not automatically renew your account. You will simply receive a reminder with the option to renew annually on your anniversary date.
Seat Management

When your organization joins, you select an account tier based on your team size. Each designated team member receives their own individual login—so everyone from frontline staff and HR leads to Board members and grant writers can access resources directly with no access bottleneck.

You can remove individuals from your organizational membership at any time through your account dashboard. Removing a departing team member immediately frees up their seat so you can reassign it to a new employee or another individual within your organization.

Yes! You can easily upgrade your account tier at any time directly through your account dashboard as your team grows.

No. However, you can right-size your account tier upon renewal.
To ensure you never face unwanted charges, we do not automatically renew your account. You will simply receive a reminder with the option to renew annually on your anniversary date, and can make adjustments then.

To ensure fair representation across the sector, every Organizational Membership receives exactly one (1) vote at the AGM, regardless of how many team members occupy seats in your account tier. This vote represents the organization as a whole. Independent Individual Memberships also hold one (1) vote each.
